AV Cables, RCA Cables
Double-shielding is the standard way of minimizing EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio
frequency interference). It consists of braided copper and a foil, generally aluminum or copper. The copper
braided shield has been effectively proven to repel RFI and the foil shield repels against EMI. The actual
amount of coverage by the braided or foil shield will determine how much interference is actually repelled. Proper Shielding, Interrupted Noise Path
For Maximum performance, the shield is soldered (grounded) to the "source" end and is not soldered
(un-grounded) on the "destination" end. This will ensure that any noise picked up by the shield will not
transmitted into the signal path. This is why for AV cables the ends are not interchangeable, and cables are best connected one way, with the grounded shield towards the signal source. Home Theater Custom Cables, our Specialty We want to be your source for high quality Home Theatre Custom AV Cables
